Known for its family atmosphere, humor, and hands-on leadership, Gold Boys has become a destination for fans who want more than just picks — they want to belong.
Gold Boys had the reputation and community to dominate the betting space, but their growth model was narrow. Almost all of their scale came from X (Twitter), leaving them overexposed to a single channel. Their Discord-first setup was a hurdle for less tech-savvy fans, and churned members weren’t being systematically re-engaged. The brand also lacked a polished, mobile-first website that could capture new audiences beyond Discord and better reflect their stature in the market. To move from hype-driven spikes to sustained growth, they needed professional systems across advertising, email, retention, and web experience that could expand their reach and reinforce their brand as a household name.

When Valiant stepped in, Gold Boys had the reputation and the community, but their marketing was fragmented. Our first move was to give them a structured email program that could nurture, retain, and reactivate members at scale. We migrated their campaigns into Mailmodo, authenticated domains for consistent deliverability, and cleaned the lists so we were only reaching engaged subscribers. From there, we built out complete lifecycle journeys. New members received a guided onboarding experience that explained how to get the most out of the community. Failed payments triggered recovery sequences that saved revenue that would otherwise be lost. Cancellation journeys reintroduced value with timely offers, and review campaigns turned happy members into social proof. Campaigns shifted from ad-hoc blasts to curated stories that mirrored the heartbeat of the community: highlighting win streaks, amplifying member culture, and tying promotions into seasonal sports moments like the opening of NFL and NBA seasons.

On the acquisition side, we established a paid advertising system where none had existed before. Instead of boosting posts, Gold Boys now had structured prospecting and retargeting campaigns running across Meta. Prospecting targeted audiences with a proven interest in sports betting, daily fantasy, and sportsbook platforms, while retargeting focused on past visitors, churned members, and high-intent social engagers. Creative development was disciplined and purposeful. Community highlight reels showcased culture. Spokesperson-led explainer videos introduced the brand to new audiences. Seasonal promos tapped into the urgency and excitement of live sports. Every campaign was tied back to the funnel with clear calls to action.

At the same time, we partnered with leadership to create a completely new website. The goal was simple: make the brand accessible to fans outside of Discord and present it in a way that matched the weight of its reputation. The new goldboys.com site was built with a sleek, mobile-first design and fluid animations that created a modern browsing experience. Direct Whop checkout integration allowed for seamless signups, Intercom provided real-time support, and dedicated pages highlighted every proof point: picks, team bios, member success, partnerships, and reviews. The site was positioned around the message “The Gold Standard in Sports Betting,” reinforced by dynamic video loops of the Discord in action and a wall of five-star reviews. What had once been a Twitter-driven funnel was now supported by a professional, trustworthy home base capable of converting mainstream audiences.

Collaboration with the Gold Boys team was close and constant. Weekly calls with JD and his partners set direction, while daily Discord check-ins allowed us to iterate quickly on offers, content, and creative. Campaigns were tested relentlessly. We experimented with plain-text style emails that outperformed heavily designed templates in certain segments. We built multiple video frameworks for short-form content and adjusted hooks, pacing, and CTAs in real time to maximize reach. This feedback loop made campaigns sharper each month.

What started as a picks group carried by social hype became a professionalized brand with a sustainable growth system. By layering structured email journeys, disciplined paid acquisition, and polished content production together, Gold Boys now has the marketing infrastructure and storytelling power to scale far beyond its origins.
