Optimus Futures
How we built a complete social media engine for a futures broker that had relied mostly on SEO for nearly two decades.
Optimus Futures had built a solid business over 20 years – 6,000 customers, a reputation for transparent pricing, and technology that earned them Benzinga's Best Futures Trading Software award three years running. But their growth had a single point of failure: 80% of customer acquisition came from organic SEO. While their content marketing and search rankings were strong, they had virtually no social media presence. No short-form video strategy. No systematic way to reach the next generation of futures traders scrolling Instagram, TikTok, and X. Meanwhile, larger competitors with bigger marketing budgets were dominating social feeds and capturing attention Optimus couldn't. They needed more than a few posts – they needed an entire social media infrastructure built from scratch: strategy, content frameworks, a spokesperson, and a system to convert viewers into funded accounts.

When Optimus Futures came to Valiant, they had the product, the credibility, and the customer base – but no social media playbook. Our job was to build the entire system.
We started with strategy. We developed a comprehensive marketing plan that included competitor analysis, audience segmentation across three distinct trader profiles (Transitioning Traders, Developing Futures Traders, and Active Futures Traders), and compliance-friendly content frameworks. In a regulated industry where one wrong word can trigger violations, we created messaging guidelines that balanced engagement with legal requirements.
Next, we designed their content engine. We developed five distinct campaign types – Educational Storytelling, Split-Screen Educational Breakdowns, Market News Updates, Feature Highlights, and Product Tutorials – each with specific hooks, structures, and conversion paths. This gives Optimus a repeatable system for producing 15 videos per month across platforms.
To be the face of this content, we sourced and contracted an exclusive spokesperson, who brings authenticity and trading credibility to every piece. With the spokesperson onboarded, initial scripts are written and filming is underway.
Finally, we built the conversion infrastructure. We designed a detailed ManyChat funnel with three segmented paths based on trading experience (Beginner, Active Trader, Professional), each delivering tailored value sequences and driving toward platform applications. The system includes automated follow-ups at 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days to nurture leads through the decision process.
The foundation is set. As content launches, Optimus Futures will have everything they need to finally compete on social – turning a two-decade SEO-dependent business into a diversified acquisition machine.
